H.E. Dr. Mekdes Daba is a distinguished public health leader providing strategic leadership to advance Ethiopia’s health agenda and improve the well-being of all citizens. Champions equitable, resilient, and high-quality health systems, drives policy reforms, and fosters national and global partnerships to accelerate progress toward universal health coverage and sustainable development.

Mr. Samuel Darge

Mr. Samuel Darge is a specialist in Pediatrics and Child Health and the current Head of the Oromia Health Bureau in Ethiopia. Formerly the Vice President for Research and Community Service at Jimma University, she is recognized by the European Union as a "champion for global change" for her leadership and significant contributions to medical research, neonatology, and child health.

H.E. Dr. Dereje Duguma is instrumental in the implementation of national health policies and the oversight of key public health programs. His work focuses on advancing healthcare access and improving health outcomes for all Ethiopians.

H.E. Frehiwot Abebe

H.E. Frehiwot Abebe is the State Minister of Health, leading the Resource, Administration, and Regulatory Wing. She oversees key areas such as the pharmaceutical supply chain, professional regulation, and the Ethiopian Health Insurance Service, where she was previously the Director General.

H.E. Sahrela Abdulahi

H.E. Sahrela Abdulahi is a State Minister at the Ministry of Health in Ethiopia. She has a distinguished career in public service, with a focus on public health initiatives and health system capacity building. Having previously served in the same capacity, she has returned to the Ministry of Health to continue her important work.
